CUSTOM FORMULATIONS
Not every application can be solved with an off-the-shelf coating. As an independent manufacturer, Interchem Polymers has the flexibility to develop new formulations or modify existing products to meet specific application, performance and production requirements.
EXPERT COLOR MATCHING
We provide professional color matching for architectural, industrial and wood coatings. From established color standards to customer-supplied samples, we can develop accurate matches and reproduce them consistently for production use.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Our relationship with the customer doesn't end when the coating leaves our facility. We work directly with customers to help select the right product, troubleshoot application issues and make adjustments when necessary to achieve the desired result.

ABOUT US
Interchem Polymers is a family-owned and operated coatings manufacturer located in Decatur, Illinois. Our roots date back to 1982, when Charles “Ray” Bennick founded Interchem, Inc. after spending more than 20 years in the paint and coatings industry.
Ray started the company with a simple philosophy: manufacture high-performance coatings at competitive prices, provide straightforward solutions, and build lasting relationships by taking care of the customer.
In 2019, after 37 years in business, Ray’s grandson, Daniel Bennick, took over the company with the goal of carrying that philosophy forward while expanding Interchem’s capabilities through modern coating technologies and continued product development.
Today, Interchem Polymers manufactures architectural, industrial, wood and specialty coatings for a wide range of professional applications. As an independent manufacturer, we have the flexibility to work directly with our customers—whether that means recommending an existing product, modifying a coating for a particular application, or developing a custom solution from the ground up.
More than four decades after our founding, our approach remains the same: make quality products, solve problems, and take care of the people who trust us with their business.
